PURE Indoor Environmental is not just a name, it’s a destination we strive for every property to reach. We do this by identifying the root causes of moisture and indoor exposure sources and providing a roadmap toward health that is sustained with routine maintenance. Finding a synergistic relationship between property performance and indoor health is the definition of PURE Indoor Environmental.

Brannon Hamby CIE, CMR, HCT

Indoor Environmental
Performance Consultant

Affectionately known by his team as the “building science nerd”, Brannon spent his early career in the field performing moisture investigations and building envelope assessments.  An insatiable desire to understand why things happen lead deeper into the world of the indoor environment.  Now, having consulted on over 6,000 properties in the last 20 years, he is able to “read” a property with respect to occupant needs and identify the correlations between the built environment and health.

As a board-certified Indoor Environmentalist and lab certified Mycotoxin Investigator who performed property assessments, wrote remediation protocols, and provided remediation verifications, he continued to see gaps in the industry that often lead to remediation failures.  These failures weren’t necessarily due to a lack of execution, but often a lack in the ability to identify all the pre-existing factors that undermine building performance and air quality.

His passion for holistic solutions and a healthy business was shared by partner and friend, Jack Shannon, that lead to the formation of PURE Indoor Environmental. He and his team are passionate about creating healthier indoor environments through a multidisciplinary approach for what they refer to as functional remediation.

Brannon and his team work with many people who suffer environmentally acquired and chronic illnesses to identify and correct root causes of indoor exposures for the best outcome.  The conviction to serve the community in good faith with transparency is the culture and purpose Brannon and his time seek to embody everyday.  Brannon lives in Mt Pleasant South Carolina and is married to his best friend with whom he has four children and stays quite busy!

Carissa Graham

Customer Service
and Administration

Carissa provides administrative support to the Pure Maintenance team. Having grown up in California, she has since made her way to Charleston and has had the opportunity to appreciate both coasts of the country. Carissa is a graduate of Charleston Southern University with a bachelor of science degree in political science and religion. She has been capturing the beauty of the Low Country for well over a decade– photographing couples, weddings, and families.

With a background in bookkeeping, customer experience, and photography, she has an eye for managing all the little details to help families maintain healthy homes.

Carissa’s greatest joy is spending time with her husband and their three kids. They enjoy the mountains, camping, and all of life’s many adventures— which include a family pet collection of a bearded dragon, a cockatiel, and a golden doodle. She also spends time volunteering in the local church and has found great joy in serving the community through elementary schools and the refugee community. Carissa furthers that service through Pure Maintenance’s mission of assisting others to improve their quality of life.

Anthony Pues

Lead Indoor
Environmental Technician

Anthony graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point with a degree focused on environmental conservation. He decided 23 years of winter was enough for one lifetime and moved to Charleston in the fall of 2021. Anthony has been with Pure Maintenance since the spring of 2022.

A love of information drives Anthony to learn about any task at hand, whether it be demolition or the miniscule mechanisms of mold growth and dispersion. He often enjoys grabbing time before work at a local coffee shop or cafe to expand his knowledge about the indoor air quality industry. His work experience ranges from managing a nature reserve to boring utilities to bathroom renovations.  Anthony has found most joy while providing services to those who are in need.

When Anthony isn’t spending time learning more about the impacts and remedial methods of mold, he can be found climbing rocks or working out to maintain a healthy balance between mind and body. He also enjoys the company of his very talkative cat, KJ.
